Try this. Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools > Inernet Options.  Click on the Connections tab, then on the LAN settings button.  Make sure none of the boxes on that page are checked.

Your question is not very clear.  What happens when you try to connect with IE.  What happens when you try to connect with Mozilla?  Have you removed all spyware and malware from your computer?

Ayduu,

You need to clarify your post and provide considerably more detail. Both Firefox and Internet Explorer are Web browsers. Neither one is involved in establishing a connection to the Internet. Do you mean that Firefox can access Web sites on the Internet, but Internet Explorer cannot? Detail needed would include what operating system and service pack the system is running, whether the system is connected directly to a the cable modem or is there a router involved, the model number of the router if one is in use, who provides the connection (the name of the ISP), as well as some history about the problem. When did it start, what changes were made before the problem began, what if any error messages are reported, and what troubleshooting steps have you taken to resolve the problem.

(edit) Wow! "volcano11" and I posted replies in the same minute! We often post very parallel replies, as we did this time, but not often quite so close in time! :)

Disable the Content Advisor.  Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools > Internet Options > Content then disable it.

These questions deal with Windows XP.  Since I have never used Content Advisor, I would suggest that you post the questions in the Software - Windows XP forum where you are more likely to get an answer.

It is now unclear to me what's going on.  You changed the subject to Content Advisor.  Did you get that fixed?  Was it the source of your problem.  You need to be more clear about what the problem is now.
