Can't "renew your IP address" after installing XP SP2
Please help!
Inspiron 5150, truemobile 1350, wireless router WRT54GS. Version of driver - 3.40.73, and router's firmware - 2.07.1, all the last and fresh. After installing XP SP2 can't renew IP address. Re-binding IP protocol in connection properties dialog (uncheck everything and check again) is helpful, but only until next reboot. The same situation I had with my previous access point D-Link AP1000, so I don't think it's a router problem.
Uninstalling SP2 is helpfull too, but it's not a point, right ? :)
What should I do? Any idea?
Dmitry
PS. I also have firewall Outpost v.2, so I turned Windows firewall off. Also, I use AVG v.6 antivirus.

Dmitry,
I had the same problem with both my 5150 laptop and 4550 desktop after installing SP2. I just opened "Network Connections", right clicked on the icon that represents the 'connection' i'm using to get on the internet, then selected "Repair". After doing that for about three reboots, it's seemed to clear up on it's own. Is "IPConfig" showing a valid IP Address? Have you tried ".../release" then ".../renew" using "IPConfig"?
Mike.
PS: Did SP2 reactivate Windows Zero Configuration for the wireless adapter? If so, that might be what's causing the conflict.
