Computer/internet thinks I am in Germany??
Please help!
I am not computer challenged, usually, but my computer's latest antics have me stumped.
For some reason, when I surf the Internet, it thinks that I am in Germany.
For instance, I have tried typing into the address bar www.gmail.com and I get an error message from google that says something along the lines that I cannot access this website while in Germany. Also the google.com address will automatically change to google.de
Also, while in blogger, everything will be written in German as the default.
Those are just two instances. Can you please help me?? I am going nuts! I am in Ohio, not Germany!!

If you are using Internet Explorer, also look up "Change your Internet Explorer language settings" in Help. Your Encoding settings in IE might be wrong.
I don't dare edit my previous post for fear of losing it.

Everything looks good in control panel.
Regarding the encoding settings, I *believe* everything is okay there too.

Control Panel, Regional Settings--make sure everything is correct including time zone, time, country, language etc.

It might be your cookies. I've had a website think I was in the UAE because I misclicked a region setting for the page, and I had to delete that sites cookie, and repick the region setting, in order to fix it.
