configure Truemobile 2300 for wireless & wired network

I have an Inspiron notebook and Dimension desktop and 2300 wireless router.  I want to configure a network with the Dimension desktop wired to the router and the Notebook wireless.  Both systems are running XP Home installed by Dell.  I have successfully configured both systems to communicate to the internet.

However, I cannot get the 2 machines to see each other or be able to access the shared folders on either machine.  I've tried the XP "home network Wizard" several times with different configurations with no luck.

Any help is appreciated.

First, make sure that file and printer sharing is enabled on both computers, then make that the Windows XP firewall is disabled and that any other software firewall you may be running is configured to allow local network traffic.  See the tutorials on the following site for help in manually configuring the network - www.homenethelp.com

Usually using the Wizard hoses things.  Look at www.homenethelp.com for assistance and info for networking.
