critical downloads

Question

just bought dimension 9100. cannot access critical updates,msn messenger or my hotmail.problem not firewall,have disabled & tried anybody any helpful suggestions or have the same problem?

All of these sites have one thing in common...but if you've done what has been posted, there is no logical reason not to connect.  have you cleared out the Temp files?

thank you all for your suggestions but the problem has now been sorted by my isp. i have downloaded a program called TZ Connection Booster from http;//filehog.com/trackzapper/tzcb.exe and at the moment it appears to be working.once again thanks for your help
