D600 and Truemobile 1300 wireless - memory test failed

I've set a few D600's up on a wireless, but never seen this problem.  I hope someone has and can help.

This is a new D600, wireless card has never been used.  Wireless network is known to work with out problems (I'm on it now, with a different D600).

The problem is that no wireless network ever appears.  I have checked all settings and they *look* ok.  Have tried to disable/enable the card and the message comes up "Connection Failed".  If I open the Dell utility and run the diagnostics, the memory tests FAIL.  The description box says "Microcode memory test failed".

Any clue on what to try?  Is it a bad wireless card?  Bad driver?

TIA,

Sorry, I believe the D600 I saw having problems does not have PC card but the wireless is built in. Is that what you mean? (If it were an actual card then it would be a simple matter, I would think, to swap the card from one to the other to see whether the problem remains with the unit or if it moves with the PC card.)

Yes, it's one of the built ins.  We have determined it is a problem with the device.  So I guess no help is needed (from the forum :smileyhappy: ).

Thanks!

I have this exact same problem. Same model laptop too. How did you determine it was a problem with the device?

I was able to fix this problem by downloading and installing the newest wireless driver from the Dell site.
