D610 Ethernet Connection

Alright, I hope you guys can help me out here. So this is the situation: I got my D610 this morning and turned it on to test it out. I connected it to my cable modem and everything worked, same thing when I took it to a friend's house to test out the wireless connections. After that, I formatted the computer so I could get a clean slate on it. Little did I realize that I'd also wipe out all the drivers for the computer, so yeah I went through the trouble of downloading and re-installing the drivers on my D610. Now comes the tricky part...

When I installed the network drivers I downloaded this driver for my network card:
Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection

My network card is: Wireless Local Area Networking Options Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200 802.11b/g WLAN miniPCI Card

I figured it should work perfectly... but it doesn't. I can get a wireless connection at my friend's house, but whenever I try connecting it to my cable modem nothing is detected and I can't log on!

Any advice on how to resolve this? Thank you very much.

You need to install the chipset drivers for your motherboard, followed by the ethernet network adatper drivers as well as any other drivers that did not install properly because the chipset drivers were not loaded first.
