DELL DIMENSION 8300 + 3COM SWITCH 3824 AND ALSO SUPERSTACK SWITCH 4250T.
I have had 2 issues with Dell Dimension 8300 pc's.
What appears to happen is that the machine will freeze, at the same time take down the whole network which is on the 3Com switches listed above.
It seems to be the network card on the motherboad, i just wondered if anyone has come across this problem.
When we install another card the issue appears to go away.
The problem is that i have about 15 of these machines and need to try and pinpoint the problem, hence my log on here.
Any help would be much appreaciated.
Regards
Simon Dean

I haven't seen that problem reported here before. Have you tried installiing the latest drivers for the network adapter? The lateset ones from Dell are at:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/type.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_8300&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=2834
but, you may find even newer drivers at the Intel web site.
