Dell Dimension with wireless..

Hello:

I am interested in purchasing a dell dimension 2400, and am interested in connecting it to my home wireless 802.11g network.  What do I need to purchase from Dell (in addition to the 2400 PC) in order to be able to do this?  I already have a netgear wireless hub.

If you want to connect this to then network wirelessly, then you need to purchase a wireless network adapter.  Although Dell sells these, you can probably find better prices at local electronic stores.

Hello, let me try to save you a serious headache.  I just purchased a Dimension 2400 and also purchased a Netgear MA111 USB wireless adapter (which says this item is supported by Windows XP in its description) to connect my computer to my existing Dell truemobile wireless hub.  The first night I received the computer and installed the adapter, I kept getting the blue screen error message and it said my memory was being dumped.  I ran a repair from my installation CD after calling tech support.  I reinstalled/reformated my system twice before Dell finally said they would send me another computer (this was after my fourth call to tech support, about 5 hours on hold).  I received my new computer and waited a day before installing software.  Immediately after installing driver, same blue screen error message popped up.  I'm assuming it is the USB network adapter.  I hope this helps with your decision of what type of adapter/dimension to purchase.  The 2400 is the only system that they cannot add the wireless adapter internally, so I was told when I purchased mine.
