Dell inspiron 1545

My Dell inspiron 1545 (i know, an oldie but a goodie!) isn't connecting to my wifi or my hotspot wifi, although it says it's connected. I haven't done it changed anything and have no idea where to even start looking. There also haven't been any recent updates done, and it worked fine a couple of days ago.

HELP!!

Hi JESSICA7443,

What is the current OS installed on the system? Does the ethernet work fine? Does it have a valid ip when connected to the wifi network? Have you disabled the firewall and checked?

If the system was working fine earlier, then perform a system restore to restore the machine to an earlier point where it was working fine - http://dell.to/1Sg6khF

Restart and check in safe mode with networking.

Enable the built in admin account and check - http://bit.ly/1Bgok2R

Also, please click my DELL-username and write me a private conversation with the service tag and your contact details(Name and Email) for case records.

Let us know if you have any other queries.
