Dell Inspiron 8200 dialup problem

Hello,

i have Dell Inspiron 8200 machine that was running windows xp home edition , but when i upgrade the system to windows xp professional , the dialup connection disappeared, i re-downloaded the modem driver for xp , but i still have the problem..

now i can't establish any dial up connection ..

the modem is actiontec MD56ORD V92 MDC

please help...

    Are you sure it is the Actiontec?  The 8200 can come with the Actiontec, PCTel, or Broadcom.

    yes i'm sure it's actiontec .... as i mentioned b4

    is this problem related to the new virus appeared nowadays ?

    please help if you can...

    If you upgraded over Home, this is common.  I recommend a clean install.
