Dell Inspiron N5110 connection problem!
I got the Dell Inspiron N5110 for my 21st birthday in December... it worked perfectly for 3 months before it started not connecting to the internet, I got it fixed by Dell through PC World where it was purchased. It worked again well for 3 months and has started playing up again (4 and half months now) I tried to get it replaced or refunded and was I couldn't, I'd have to send it off for a 3rd fixing before Dell did something about it...
I decided to buy a network adapter, it works fine but it still cuts me off the internet! The reason i bought it was because my laptop now refuses to connect to my network (Virgin). (It played up with talktalk for a while too).
Has anyone else had this problem with this model on Virgin? I ask this I need to know if it's virgin or in fact my laptop again! Although when I troubleshoot it says something about my wireless network adapter (not the one i bought) needing to be restarted or re-installed.
To be honest I have found other people with the same connection failure complaints, but have not known their internet provider... I think Dell should really sort this problem out! I'm becoming really quite annoyed as I need my laptop for my uni work and research!
Any help would be great

You can try running an ipconfig /all log and post it back here.
Is this a Thompson Router?
Did you try connecting at a hotspot?

It's a Belkin usb network adapter & no i haven't connected to any hotspots. I will try that and see what happens.

The Belkin adapter may have problems connecting on networks using WPA Security.

ok what is WPA sercurity? and when discussing the best one to help, the guy in pc world said it was the best one.

WPA Security is the best to use, but some Belkin routers/adapters have trouble connecting to WPA. If Belkin has a way to contact their support, then contact them and maybe they can help it to connect.
