Dell Latitude E6400 - WWAN 5520 or 5530 or 5540?
Hello,
I'd like to ask you which wwan card is the best choice for a dell latitude e6400 laptop.
Is it correct that the version 5540 is the newest and probably the best one?
Thank you for your opinion and answer.
Kind regards

Hi maland,
The list of various WWAN cards compatible with Dell Latitude 6400 is given below:
You may choose the WWAN card according to the Internet Service Provider. The latest WWAN card compatible with your system is DW5804. However, DW5540 will be a good choice.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to reply if you have any further questions.

Hello,
thank you for your answer and help. I looked at the Dell homepage and it writes that DW5804 is compatible with Inspiron and Vostro Notebooks. Is there maybe a special driver for Latitude?
Thank you very much.

Hi,
thank you. Unfortunately, I do not see there the e6400, just e6430. However, do you know where can I purchase this card (I need a card which I can use globally, in any telecommunication systems)
Furthermore, can you tell me, which is the better choice: 5530 or 5540?
Many-many thanks to you!

Hello, thank you. I am living in Europe and searching for a WWAN card that works well in Europe, USA, Australia, Japan, China, Emirates, Russia. Which one would you then recommend me?
Furthermore, can I buy and use a DW5804 card in Europe?
Thank you very much.

Hi M,
DW5530 and DW 5540 both are good WWAN cards. However, DW5540 is newer than DW5530
The suitable WWAN card for the system depends on various factors like region, service providers, services offered etc.
I would suggest you to contact the local sales team of your country to purchase the card. If you are residing in US you may contact Dell Sales at: 1-800-372-3355.
Please feel free to reply if you have any questions. I will be glad to assist.

Why can't anyone just answer the question? Instead of jargon that isn't used anywhere else (Helmsley blah, Gobi blah), just list the bands and speeds that each card uses.
