Dell Latitude E6530 and Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus Bluetooth.

Hello all! I would like to try Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus Bluetooth in my Dell Latitude E6530, BIOS revision A14. Will it be working combination or no? http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/wireless-products/dual-band-wireless-ac-7260-bluetooth.html Thanks a lot for answer! Dave

It does not work for me.  I've tried multiple AC 7260 cards in multiple Latitude E6530's.  In all cases the computer POST's and seems to work fine when running off battery (with the card installed), but with the AC adapter plugged in the laptops will not even POST.  Their power lights turn on for a minute or so, fan spins, then they just turn right off again.  Removing the AC 7260 card gets them working again.  Using a different AC power adapter does not make a difference.  Very frustrating!  :-(

Hi. For some mysterious reason that DELL refused to bother fixing this card is not recognized properly when installed on the Wi-Fi slot where it belongs. However, you can still use it on the 1/2 mini slot right next to the Wi-Fi slot and the computer will boot up just fine. You will end up with 2 Bluetooth adapters but only being able to use one at the time (the other will give an error code). This is a design limitation since there can be no concurrent Bluetooth adapters active. But the card will still work. This is really frustrating that DELL has chosen to ignore this issue for such a long time. The Intel 7260 AC will probably be the last AC chip in mini pcie form to be released so it is an important issue for anyone who wants to update their laptops to the most recent standard. Sorry DELL, telling customers to retain their dated wireless N adapters and suffer poor speeds because you are too lazy to correct the issue AT SOURCE via BIOS update is disappointing, particularly when the intended device IS compatible.

Anyone else that wants to upgrade their E6530 to AC, just get a Intel 7265HMW Wireless-AC, same price, ~$14 on eBay. Just remove the old card and install the new, no putting it in the 2nd mini slot work around. Def a difference in speed.
