Dell Mini can't connect to WiFi
Purchased in 2010, I have never had reliable connectivity to WiFi hotspots.....like at Starbucks or MacDonalds.
Wireless card seems to be working properly because the task icon lower left always gives proper info when in close proximity to WiFi. And, the Dell connection utility (software) produces ID's of all WiFi networks which are available. I.E. shows name(s), signal strength(s), and locked/unlocked.
Problem arises when connection to WiFi device is started. I can't get past their "intro screen" (Starbucks or MacDonalds).
And, when I try to make connection with the microsoft connection utility (software), it frequently gives warning that "device is currently being managed by another program....".
I probably don't know enough about the software drivers. But, I think there are two loaded and both are competing for the Wireless Card??
Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

mkarch,
Can you try running the Finding System Information Tool (preferred)Or hit the Windows Key and the R keys at the same time. Type
systeminfo.txt REMOVE THE PRODUCT ID and post the rest of the information back here.
or an ipconfig /all log and maybe it will reveal something.
