I had the same question a while back and answered it myself by doing a Google search for each of the terms.  I found articles on each of them.  You might want to try this yourself.  I found nothing that I could change that resulted in increased performance.   What is it you are trying to improve?

The user help manual in the client utility has a section which talks about each one of these settings.

Volcano - I'm not looking to improve anything specific. I was just wondering about it.

I always wanted to ask the question and find out what they were, but kept forgetting and thought about it today when I was messing with a few other settings.

I'll google them up later, thanks for the reply.

ItsJustAGuess - Thanks too. I don't have the utility installed, so I can't look there.
