Dell TrueMobile 2300 Security Setup
I've figured out how to set up wireless security using WEP on router with main computer but don't know how to allow computer in spare bedroom to access router? Both computers are running Windows XP Professional. Everytime I set up router for wireless security, I can no longer access internet from other computer. I know there must be some type of setting to allow other computer to access router to connect to internet?

Which wireless network adapter is on the problem computer? Is Windows managing your wireless connections or is the utility that came with the network adapter managing the wireless connections?

The Dell wireless network adapter is on the computer in bedroom. The wireless system was working but unsecured so that's why I was trying to secure the system. I'm not very knowledgeable with the wireless system so how do I tell if Windows is managing the connection or the utility?

There is a Wireless Network tab and it does have a green check mark next to "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings".

On the bedroom computer, open Network Connections, right click the wireless connection, select Properties. In the window that loads, is there a Wireless Networks tab? If so, Windows is managing the wireless networks. If not, then the Dell Utility is managing the wireless networks.

Click on the Wireless Networks tab, Click on the button to Add a wireless Network. The fill in the boxes consistent with the way you set things up on the router.
