Disabling the 2200 Internal Wireless

Hi All,

I just ordered an i6000 today and can't wait for it to arrive.  My only gripe was the fact that I couldn't not include a Wireless Internal Network card with my configuration.

I have a Dell Latitude currently connected wirelessly to my network via a Linksys card and it works perfectly.  I have had problems before with internal cards and my network and would like to use the Linksys card with my new i6000 when it arrives.  Is it possible to disable the 2200 and use the Linksys card without having any problems?

If so, do I just install the Linksys card and then diable the wireless connection that uses the 2200?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I would make sure the 2200 driver is the latest, the wireless router firmware is the latest, then give it a shot.  Many here use that card successfully.  If you don't want to bother with it, I would remove it from the computer.
