Does Undock & Go really let you go "instantly wireless" ?

I have a D620 with the D/Port Advanced Port Replicator. When I am at my desk and connected to the office wired LAN and need to go to a meeting I hit the un-dock button and all of the expected disconnects appear to be happening except for switch to wireless. Once I hit the eject button I find that all of my connection dependant applications (ie telnet, internet etc.)are disconnected. At the time I hit the un-dock button both my wired LAN and wireless connections are active.

The sales blurb on the docking stations gives the impression that I shouldn't have to do anything except hit the un-dock, wait for the message and then eject but in reality, I need to reconnect all of these applications because there was no seamless transition between wired and wireless. Are my expectations un-realistic or is there something in the setup that I have missed?

Cheers,

Soz.
