DSL and Netgear WGR614v5 HELP!
I have had a new Inspiron 9200 laptop (Jan 05), and old Dell Dimension XPS R450 (only used for internet and e-mail), a Netgear WGR614v5 router and a cable modem hooked up (wireless laptop, wired desktop) since January and all worked great. I switched to DSL when I canned my cable company this week and now can't get my system to work at all. My laptop will work for internet when wired directly from the Sprint 635 series modem, but when I add the Netgear router in line nothing happens (either wired or wireless) and I get a message that there is low or no connection. The desktop won't connect even if I wire direct, It has a Netgear FA310TX (which worked fine wired from a cable modem through the Netgear router), do I need to replace that old card? Everything worked great with a cable modem, but returning to cable isn't an option.
