While I had latest dell wifi drivers, my network works on 56Mbps then I completly deleted driver and reinstall it after that i had 802.11n and speed - 64Mbs .
Also I heard from some guy that dell driver is not good for 802.11n and if you install broadcom's one you will get 802.11n without problem. Didn't tried that.
I uninstalled the driver and tried to reinstall it, but the card could never work again. When I contact the tech support, they directly order a new laptop for me. Seems like they wouldn't touch that problem either. btw, it's vostro3400.

Hello, indeed it would be very nice if you post the solution, since many others have the same problem.

Thank you very much, great tip.
Solved also my problem. Strange that Dell Tech Support did not advise this.
The only thing is that if you look to the network status it tells you that the speed is 72 Mbbs.
But I think this is an error. My Dell Studio has now same speed as my Dell E6500 which gives as status a speed of around 250 Mbbs.
