DW1501, Windows 7 - unable to change MAC address

So I've spent all afternoon googling since I received my Inspiron 17R this afternoon and am completely baffled.  I am unable to change the MAC address of the wireless adapter, whatsoever.  I have tried:

* Several MAC changing software, SMAC, Technetrium Mac Changer, etc.

* Editing regedit, the NetworkAddress value is set to a valid MAC (D4:9A:20:5C:2B:D4, in case you're interested - no colons in actual registry.)

* Changing the Locally Administered MAC Address in the configuration for the adapter itself.

None of these have helped in the slightest.  The MAC address remains the default.  I have attempted to install older drivers for Windows 7 as well as XP 64-bit, but I am unable to as Windows tells me I already have the most up-to-date drivers installed.  Does anybody have a solution for this?

Hi~
I'm troubling with the same problem.

I tried many ways like you,
and I found one that have a possibility.

AMAC could change DW1501 MAC Address in the form of "0A-0A-0A-0A-xx-xx"
0A-0A-0A-0A is fixed, xx-xx is varies.

To change first four number sets(0A-0A-0A-0A),
S/W requires to be registered.
(But... even though regist it, mac change doesn't works like other MAC changing applications)

Hmm...
I expect other way to change MAC address perfectly.

Changing to DE:AD:BE:EF:CA:FE is possible too. It's impressive!

I have doubt that "0A-0A-0A-0A" format's success was affected by the program 'AMAC' or not.
So...I recovered my n3010 to Factory default setting.

Just after recovering process is done,
I tried to change DW1501 MAC Address through Window's network adaptor property setting.
(With no other MAC Address change applications installed)

Result
1. Changing to "0A-0A-0A-0A-xx-xx" format is possible.
2. Any other formats i tried isn't possible. (Original, Physical address is activated)

Even though possibility is limited,
I think there maybe other way to do it without limitation.
