DW1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card driver install error BASS_REL_5_6 828
Hi. My Inspiron's wireless internet stopped working today saying it was experiencing driver problems. So I downloaded the driver from Dell.com (R258276.exe) and tried to reinstall it. It gets partway through the install process then I get an error message saying "Error BASS_REL_5_6 828 has occurred and Setup cannot continue." Same error if I try to install this driver from the Dell CD. Can't find this error anywhere on Google so I'm at my wits end. Everything else on the laptop works fine, including ethernet internet. Can anyone pls provide any advice?

Thx. Tried that but still got the same error. No matter as I had all my docs backed up so I re-installed Win7 & all good now.

I have Dell Latitude with this wireless card and same problem. It hangs up the computer too so I have to reboot sometimes. Another co-worker of mine was experiencing the same issues with the same laptop. I dont want to uninstall and reinstall as that didn't seem to work for you. If there another solution?

this all happens when u have a WiFi packet sniffing tool virtual driver on ur system and try a new driver for ur hardware try to remove all old drivers + the applications that uses a virtual driver for that wlan i hope it will work .
Also make sure that u haven't disable the windows update service from control panel/admin tools/services
