enable/disable WEP

Question

I am trying to find out how to enable/disable WEP on a latitude D600 with truemobile card.   I am trying to walk someone through doing this over the phone, so please talk to me like I am 2 years old :)

well it depends up the router you use.

all you need to do is to get the default gateway . connect the router hardwire to any one of your computer.Open the internet explorer page . type the default gateway of the router. you can get the default gateway of the router by going to start---> run---->cmd>>>>ipconfig then hit enter u will get the default gateway.

once you type the default gateway under the adrress bar of internet explorer. hit go. ot will prompt for user name and password. enter the user name and pawword depending upon the type of the router you use. it will take you to the router settinbg in the router settings there is option to enable/disable WEP. Again it depends upon the trype of router you have.

I am the the admin for the wireless network at this location, and we have wep desabled on all of our ap's. What I need to know is how to disable wep on the truemobile card itself.
