Ethernet or not on Dimensions 8200

Can anyone advise me if I have a network card in my dimensions 8200.  ( year early 2002)
I was expecting to find usual network connection ( similar and little bigger than phone connection)
but its not there. My device manager under Network gives 1394 Net Apapter.
There are two spare connections but if either are ntwork they must need some kind of
adapter.
Advice greatfully received. Just installed DSL and running via USB but would like to
get use of port back.
Thanks

Some versions of the 8200 had an ethernet adapter inegrated on the motherboard, other did not.  If there is no RJ45 port on the back of your model, then it does not have an integrated network adapter.  You will have to buy a PCI network adapter and install it.  Fortunately you can find PCI network adapters for less than $10 after rebate.
