fat 32 to ntfs- now netzero won't work

Hi all, I converted my hard drive from fat 32 to ntfs. It is an old 4300 dell that came with win me. I had installed xp last year and everything was working fine, I read that ntfs was better and faster? All went well except now when I try to get on the internet with netzero it tells me there is no remote access service on the cmputer. I need to install RAS. Can anybody tell me what I sould do, does it mean I need a network card now? Other than the internet problem all my programs are working fine. Thanks for any help.

The remote access service is included with XP by default.   Don't know if converting to NTFS messed it up or not, but any major change like that has risks.

To find it, Go to Start - Run, type services.msc.   Scroll down the list and find Remote Access Connection Manager - if it's stopped, start it.

Beyond that, Netzero itself is probably a better source of help - only they know how your PC needs to be configured to use their service.  They have a fairly extensive list of FAQ's and troubleshooting that may help - or their connection wizard may be helpful.

Couple links in there that refer specifically to the RAS:

Thanks for the help, I had checked the services msc and they were set right. I took my flash drive and got on the other computer and went to netzero to download the connection wizard. This flash drive has the netzero software on it. I downloaded  the software again and it worked. Some how the software on the flash drive had gotten corrupted. I had uninstalled netzero from my computer and I got the same message from the copy on the flash drive! Problem solved, thanks.
