Fedora core 4 does not recognize the network card on 9150

I was trying to install the fedora core 4 on a newly purchased Demension 9150. But after installation, the fedora can't find the network card. If I try to activate the driver, which I used e1000 btw, it returns, "e1000 device does not seem to be present".

Please help, thank you!

hi javadell,

do you know the 9150 CPU is 64-bit? I see in the BIOS it mentions 64-bit something, but not sure.

BTW, I installed a d-link ether card for the temporary solution. :)

Thanks.

Thank you very much for the hint.

And each time after upgrading the kernel, I have to compile and install it again, right?

I didn't run into the DHCP problem, maybe it's because I'm not using the onboard ethernet yet. :)
