Hayes modem will not install in Vista

Question

A friend recently bought a DimensionTM C521 and bought a Hayes dial-up modem V92 PCI Ho8-15531-B (Low Profile) from Misco. Windows Vista will not recognise the drivers supplied on the cd. I have emailed Hayes three times but no result. I have also emailed Misco who did reply and gave me a link to the same drivers already supplied.   Any suggestions what I do next please? Any help would be appreciated.

Zoom purchased Hayes modem in 1999.  The Zoom site does not list any current Hayes modems.    I'd be returning that modem and getting a current brand and one that is Vista compatible.    Zoom:  www.zoom.com
