Help Me Please!

I have an inspiron 1501 with windows XP and i am trying to connect to the wireless network..It is showing the wireless network in range with a good signal but when i click connect it just says waiting for network but does not connect to it. Can anyone please help me? Its greatly appreciated!

A different network..I had a different laptop before and that one connected to it fine..It was an inspiron 1300. Thats why i dont understand why this one wont do it.

Yes a public network..My other laptop would connect to it no problem but this one wont.

Ive done that and it still doesnt work...I try connecting to it and it just says waiting for network.

go into your wireless properties and set it to connect to any avaiable wireless connection.

what wireless card do you have? have you tried to install the latest drivers?

And ill have to copy that file onto a cd to get it on the computer that wont connect right?

i have a dell wireless 1390 WLAN mini-card rev. 3.6..how do you install the latest drivers?
