Go to your network connections right click on the connection you connect to and click disable then after that enable it again.

Ok i found it but when i connect to NETGEAR it says i only have Local only and it won't let me on the internet and i disable and enable the local area conection and wireless network connection it didn't work

Sounds to me you have a problem with your router. What kind of upgrade did you do before this problem started?

I need a wireless router. Can anyone suggest the best router to get?

What are you using now? I also have a Insprion 1501. Linksys WRT54G is a good choice for about $49.00. The Linksys WRT150N Wireless N for about $99.00. Both of these a suitable for most home needs.
