Help with Isprion 1501

Question

Ok my labtop which is a Inspiron 1501 has windows vista which hasn't been a problem i had my labtop for about 4 months and i been getting great internet connections i don't have no wireless modem but 2 days ago my labtop had to do a upgrade thingy which it ask me to do before and after it was done i couldn't get connected to the internet and when i went to Diagnose connection problem it  says Cannot communicate with primary DNS Server(68.87.77.130). Then to fix it tells me to reset the networkd adapter 'Wireless Network Connection' which i have no idea to do can anyone please help me

Go to your network connections right click on the connection you connect to and click disable then after that enable it again.

Ok i found it but when i connect to NETGEAR it says i only have Local only and it won't let me on the internet and i disable and enable the local area conection and wireless network connection it didn't work

Sounds to me you have a problem with your router. What kind of upgrade did you do before this problem started?

What are you using now? I also have a Insprion 1501. Linksys WRT54G is a good choice for about $49.00. The Linksys WRT150N Wireless N for about $99.00. Both of these a suitable for most home needs.   Inspiron 1501, TL-50, 2gig ram
