Home network access Denied to XP
I have one WINXP-HOME, one XP-PRO and one Win7. All are running current updates including SP3 in Xp machines.
Issue: Neither the XP-PRO or WIN7 can access WIN-XP-Home. The XP-Home shows on the network but when I click it. I get "//Computer Name not accessiable, you might not permissions to use this Network resource"
The XP-HOME can access the Win-7 files OK.
I turned Firewalls are off. Tried to log on got same error. turned firewalls back on. I have the same name suetup on both computer. I have also tried to log in using different user. I have files shared on the WIN-Home computer.
I have been all over ther net and have not found a solution to this in two weeks. Perhaps this related to the XP-Home since both my XP-Pro and Win-7 gets the same error. Anyone out that can help. Thanks

Yes,share is very important. I previously experienced this on my laptop, it did not have anything shraed and I got access denied, I changed a folder to the shared and it allowed me to access......but my other xp desktop has folders that are shared and I still get the same error message.

bfowler71,
Virus program and firewalls allowed?
I can't remember, if a bfowler71 account with the same password is needed on all systems or not.
