Hi, if you press F2 to go into the BIOS and then into Integrated Devices, make sure both the LAN1 option ROM and LAN2 option ROM are disabled, this should stop the system looking for a bootable image over the network.
HI, sorry but still not working, even though I diable the LAN ROM's and save it still seems to enable them when I check back. Is this something to do with the broadcom Advance suite the engineer installed
Many thanks for the help Steve. I uninstalled the broadcom suite and then disabled the ROM's as suggested and it is now perfect. Seemed as if the broadcom was searching before the start up? Anyway it's fine now and device manager has no question marks. also web fine.
If you have a new motherboard there should be a new CMOS battery supplied with it, I was just curious to why your settings did not save. In regards to the theatre lighting, those batteries are in a white container in the top left of your system when you take the cover off.
I am having the same problem with my Inspiron 560s. Whenever I go into the CMOS setup and disable the Network boot option, I then save it, but it re-enables it automatically.

Sorry did not read that you had saved the settings in your previous post, are you able to open the system up at all?

Try changing the Boot Order in the bios and move the network boot to last.

Make sure you save the configuration before you exit, if you are, it may be the battery is not storing the settings.
