I can't connect to the Internet--Firewall issue

Hello,
I'd appreciate if anybody can help me with this problem.

I have a dell inspiron 1300 notebook that came loaded with McAfee.  The McAfee has expired, and I plan to put in Norton Antivirus as soon as I can connect successfully to the web to download it..

I've disabled the spamkiller and the firewall on McAfee, and also the Windows firewall.  Nevertheless, I can't get online.

I'm running it behind a linksys router.  I know the router works ok because I am writing this message from another desktop pc hanging on another port of the router.

My browser on the laptop ran a diagnostic test and told me that ports 80 http, 21 FTP, and 443 HTTPS are blocked, indicating that there is a firewall issue.

When I ping other sites, all is ok.  Under Control Panel, Network connections, I see that my Local Area Connection is connected.

Is there possibly another firewall somewhere?  How do I find it?  Might McAfee be blocking my internet connection even though it is disabled?
