IE7 Unable to access True Mobile 1184 Control Utility

Hi there - I haven't yet been able to resolve this.  I actually did uninstall 7.0 and reverted to 6.0... same issue.  I actually cannot access the web interface at all.  I attempted to reset the router manually - I have model wx-6215d.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.  I can access the internet - both wired and wireless (the reset worked, only now my network is unprotected).

Have you resolved this? If not what router do you have? Are you connecting to the internet?

I've tried both http://my.router and http://192.168.2.1 and I get a DNS error - then only that Internet Explorer cannot display the web page (Good memory, btw! :-))

What address are you using to access the router's configuration utility?  If I recall correctly it should be - http://192.168.2.1

Are you connected to the router by a wired ethernet connection?  Do the link lights on both the router and the ethernet port on the computer light up when the cable is plugged in and both devices are powered on?  You shouldn't be getting a dns error if you are using the ip address, so this is puzzling.

Yup, connected and running.  It's weird, because I can access external URL's but not the IP to my own router.  I can even 'ping' it via command prompt...

Yes, the Default Gateway, DHCP Server and DNS Servers all have the same IP:

 

192.168.2.1

 

This also confirms that DHCP is enabled as well as autoconfiguration.

 

It does say that Primary DNS Suffix is blank, that IP Routing is not enabled nor is WINS proxy.

 

Could it be that the Web Interface program is damaged or corrupt?  I've reinstalled the control utility - still no luck.

Well, I was considering Vonage and, apparently, one of the 'freebies' with membership could very well be a wireless router.  Timing is everything, they say. 

 

I also bought a wireless peripheral that was supposed to be easy to install on an existing network - and I've had no luck.   Maybe it's all a sign to replace. :-)

I don't think its a problem with your computer.   All the ipconfig output sounds like it is correct.  There must be a problem with the router.  Perhaps it's time for a new one.

While connected to the router through the wired ethernet connection, open the command prompt window and type ipconfig /all then hit Enter.   The default gateway address listed there is your router's IP address.  Is it 192.168.2.1?
