Hello,
Not sure we can help you but are you getting a message from the system before it stops working? What exactly do you mean that it "stops working" ? Does it power down? Freeze up? Just the internet stops working? I assume that the same symptoms didn't happen when the previous card reached it's maximum through rate?
Not sure of the specs of those two cards but if you can give us a better idea of the actual error you're seeing we may be able to provide some ideas on how to resolve.

Hi Todd,
I have the same problem. Also a inspiron 1545. Their are no messages but just a system freeze. Most of the time also the computer doesn't restart but I have to do it with the button because of a freeze. My card (1397 dell) works as it supposed to be.
The card have three ports for antenna's, but I only use 2. The actual problem is the computer problem. No errors or difficulties when installing.
