Inspiron 570 Desktop, Windows 10, install network card

I need to install a network card on my sister's computer (Insipron) desktop as her installed network adapter does not work. The operating system is Win10 Home. I think it has a port for a PCI Express on the motherboard. Or tell me how to get her network adapter working again. I have tried to do a Network Reset and it does not recognize the network port and says to make sure a cable is connected (it is). I tried to find a way to activate it through BIOS but there was no settings there for the adapter. The product ID on her computer is: D6H6G43QGKCCTHGH683K4VYV, another line under that is: X1696072.

No idea what those numbers are? The computer service tag number is a 7 digit alphanumeric number? Anyway...the 2009 Inspiron 570 desktop can use any PCIe x1 network card. It would install in either slot 23 or slot 21 below =

But first, boot into the BIOS- Advanced- Integrated Peripherals Configuration. Go to Onboard LAN Controller and make sure it is set to Enabled. If yes, exit the BIOS. When the RJ45 cable is connected to the computer RJ45 port, and the computer and router are on, do you see any lights by the RJ45 port?
