Inspiron E1505. Wireless works but not with encryption...help!
We just got our new laptops (Inspiron E1505). I was able to quickly get them online. I already had our Linksys router configured and connected to our cable modem. I had also hooked up our new Dimension desktop to it. All was working fine. The new laptops also worked fine but I realized that we were no longer using encryption. (That was set up with our older laptop) Anyway I went into the Linksys router via the desktop and reconfigured it. The desktop was still able to get online but the laptops couldn't. I tried everything. The only way to get the laptops online was to disable encryption. Why is this? I've read about others having problems with the 1390 WLAN mini-card...and I wonder if I too need a replacement.??

1 First unplug your modem and your router, wait for at least 45 sec to 1 min.
2 Plug your modem and wait for 45 sec to 1 min.
3 Plug your router, wait for 45 sec to 1 min.
4 Turn on your desk top computer ( be sure that your desk top is turn on)
5 Turn on you laptop and that should get you connected to the internet.
Good luck,
