Intel 4965agn Wireless Card Losing Connection Problem Solved

Question

For anybody losing their connection, look at your power options. This new pc couldn't hold the wireless connection, and even after downloading the latest drivers, hours spent with tech support and community forums, I changed the advanced power setting so that when plugged in, it never goes in power saving mode, never hibernates or sleeps.  And walla, no lost connections.   Eventually, if anyone knows how to fine tune some of these settings between power savings and not losing a connection, feel free to chime in. e1705 new with standard card did not hold a connection.  I replaced with this 4965agn off ebay $60 and it now finds and holds connections with no problem. dan

My Belkin 54g wireless card keeps dropping the connection, its intensely annoying as it was fine with my last pc in the exact same position and now in my new dell its showing a low signal strength and cant hold a connection. Anyone aware if the solution above would fix the problem or would I be better to just skip a stage and go buy a new higher spec card?
