Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N

     Surprise!! I only have 2 wires coming out of the card, black and white. i cant take apart my other Wireless N adapter because its just a pci card, therefore if i take it apart its voids it's warranty which i realy dont want to do. Although I disabled every signal (Wireless A,B,G) except wireless N on my network. With my computer set to 20MHz/40MHz (to put to rest the theory of haveing 2 antennas set at 40MHz band), I lost connection almost immediately. So for it to be Wireless N you must have the 3 antennas.

 

      The funny thing is is that I had even talked to the dell's "wireless network" tech support team about my connection being so slow, and this is what happened. I used my example of my inspiron ( with the N-card built into it, connection speeds of 54Mbps,  note same connection speeds as wireless G ) and my Latitude (with the linksys PCI card, with connection speeds of 254Mbps). His explaination for this was since its a inspiron and it has the card built into the computer, i can only reach speeds of up to 54Mbps. But with the latitude, since it it is a latitude and has the card on the exterier of the computer it would be alot  faster. Therefore his solution to my connection being so slow was to buy an additional exterior wireless N card.
