Intel Pro Wireless 2100 LAN MINI PCI Adapter + Windows XP

Hi,

I upgraded from Windows2000 to XP Pro and now I get an error message when I try to reinstall drivers for the Intel Pro Wireless 2100 LAN MINI PCI Adapter.

I can't even see the Intel Pro Wireless 2100 LAN adapter with the Device Manager. It just shows a yellow question mark beside Network Adapters.

Whenever I try to reinstall the Intel Pro Wireless 2100 Lan drivers I get a error message saying:

Error installing the following adapter:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1043&5UBSYS_25658086

The Wireless device worked fine with Windows 2000 but maybe is not compatible with XP?

Any advice on a work around would be appreciated.

Thank-you.

Go to www.intel.com and search for 2100 Driver [INTEL(R)PROWIRELESS21_125836.ZIP]

This driver supports Windows 2000/XP/Vista. The link below get you to the above driver:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?strState=LIVE&ProductID=944&DwnldID=11918&agr=Y&lang=eng&PrdMap=944

After you download, then goto Start->Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager. Then right click on Others->NetWork Controller to install the driver. Point the destination to the folder that you just download. Good Luck.
