Intel Pro Wireless driver issue after Factory Reset

A few months back I reset my Inspiron E1705 back to the Factory Defaults. Just about everything was messed up and I've had to manually try figuring out the mess that was left for me to claim as my own problem. Well I've managed to get through 90% of the issues and I'm now on the wireless driver issue here....

The driver for the pro wireless is at 10.1.0.13, and doesn't want to work properly. I get a pop-up telling me "Intel(R) PROset/Wireless Software version 10.5.1.0 does not support Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection device driver version 10.1.0.13."

Then it goes on to tell me to either update my driver to 10.5.1.x or update my PROSet/wireless software to 10.0.0.x

Maybe I'm reading into this too much and that's why I can't get it working, but either path I attempt hasn't worked.

Is there a package that contains all the newest updated software/drivers to get it working?

Hello DanW73 and welcome to the Dell forums

Since you did not state what OS your are running I picked Xp.

You can go HERE and download the #1 file for the driver and the # 3 file for the software.

If you need the driver and software for a different OS go HERE and select your OS

Hey Davet50,

My appologies, I am running XP Media Center. (Being at work and on dial-up is a tad frustrating.)

I'll give those a shot and see how everything goes, then reply later with an update on the progress.

Thank you

Got it working after the dial-up downloads finally finished last night..lol
