intel wireless not working with windows vista
inspiron 1420, event log shows:
event 5002 NETw4v32
Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection : Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly.
Tried troubleshooting page, can't get the wireless to enable. sometimes it will but it still won't connect. i am unfamiliar with Vista. another dell laptop with XP connects fine. please help

If you have already (re)installed the latest driver for the system then it might be time to contact tech support for the problem.

I have an Inspiron1505 with this same card. It got to where it wouldn't connect after a reboot. What I had to do was rt click the network connection and disable the adapter then enable it and it would connect. The other day I got tired of messing with it after each reboot and uninstalled the adapter and used a usb one. Well I had to reinstall to free up the usb port and so far it been connecting after a reboot so you might try uninstalling it and then reinstall it and see if it might work. The driver I'm using is the R171132 one.
