Internet disconnects when computer enters stand by
My internet disconnects when my computer is left idle for a long time (ie-over night) and enters stand by. When I load the computer again, I see the limited or no conectivity icon. Please Help.

That is usually what happens. If this is a desktop PC, The recommendation by the Dell moderator and most of the forum "experts" is to NOT use Standby on a Desktop PC. It can cause many and varied problems. Some may have used standby for a long time without problems but then all of a sudden develop them. Standby (and Hibernate) were designed for laptops to conserve battery power.
The universal recommendation, including the Dell moderator is to ONLY "power off" the monitor and hard drive at whatever time interval you want - nothing else.

Hard to tell which one it is without a little more investigation. Are you using a USB or the Ethernet connectin for the Modem (if you have the Ethernet that is the preferred connection as USB can be problematic and is slower than the Ethernet). Do you get any other indication other than it's not connected? If you have Ethernet can you do a "Repair" by accesing the Ethernet panel in the Control Panel/Networking?
Make absolutely sure nothing is going into a standby or hibernate mode.
