Internet problems with cable internet and home network
I recently got cable internet for my dell win ME comp. Everything worked fine. of course the cable modem was connected to my network pci adapter. i wanted to set up my other computer (win xp) for the same internet conection. BEfore the cable internet was installed these two computer were already connected through a crossover cable and everything was fine. Upon buying cable internet,i bought a BLitz super g wireless router. i connected both computers to it and everyting seemed fine.the win xp computer has no trouble with the internet. as soon as u put on the comp he internet loads and sites open up fast. on the win me computer, some sites dont work (it says page cannot be found) so i restart and it works. sometimes i have to unplug the cable and plug it back into the router for it to work.any suggestions so that when i start my win me i will be fully connected? I checked for spyware,i deleted them, same problem ,thanx

This sounds like it still could be a spyware problem on the Windows ME computer. Go to the following site and follow the directions to download and run the analysis tool called HijackThis.

Generate a log file, then open it and copy and paste the text of the log file in a message in one of the following forums:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/
where a certified HijackThis expert can offer advice on whether or not spyware is causing the problem.
