Internet very slow with Vista
Hi,
Internet is very slow when I use my Dell Laptop. This is an Inspiron 6400 E1505, Centrino Duo @1.86GHz, running under Vista. However, when I use my other laptop (a Compaq running under XP), everything is fine. I tried a lot of things without success:
- Internet is still slow even if I use Firefox
- I fired McAfee. I use Kaspersky instead
- I tried the "netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled" command
- I ran the diagnostic tool of Dell provided with the laptop (everything is fine)
- Vista cannot diagnose (even detect) the problem
- I ran a internet connection speed test with my XP: download=1124Kb/s and upload=638Kb/s
- I cannot run the Dell PC Checkup (online), it seems it works only for XP
- I scanned my hard drive for viruses and spywares (nothing)
- I replaced the driver of my Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller (ethernet network card) for the most recent one
Note: there are 2 sites I can go quite easily most of the time (not too slow)
Has somebody an idea?
Thanks!
