Lan Connection is continously turning on and off

Have had my new Inspiron 531S for less than a month.  Symptons:

1.   When logining into my user get a warning message about WLANMON (with the yellow triangle).

2.   Bottom right tray indicates the D-LINK AirPlus card is not found.

3.  Bottom right tray LAN icon continues to go between normal and covered with a red X.

4.  All checks on D-Link driver show the most recent is installed and functioning.
