Laptop not recognizing Mobile Broadband Express Card

Question

I am having trouble connecting to the internet with my Sprint Mobile Broadband Express Card.  Last month, tech support replaced the motherboard, as the Express Mini Card Slot was not listed in the device manager, nor in the diagnostics list of hardward.  Last week, I inserted the Sprint express card, and my computer is again not seeing the card.  I removed the card, went to my daughter's inspiron computer, inserting the card and her computer immediately recognized the card.  Has the new motherboard failed??

Have you checked to see if the MiniCard slot is enabled in the BIOS?   Steve

how do I check the bios to see if the slot is enabled???  Thank you for your help

Without knowing the exact model of your computer, it is difficult to provide details.  On most Dell computers, you get into the BIOS setup program by hitting the F2 key immediately after restarting the computer.  You then need to explore the setup pages and the settings for the MiniCard slot.   Steve
