Laptop reset self, now Wireless connection not working
Good evening, I'm having trouble getting my laptop's wireless connection to connect to my wifi network. I've reset my modem, and I checked the wireless connections on the other computers in my house with and with out encryption, all my other computers can get online fine just not my laptop.
I have an Inspiron 9300 With the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network connection. I just tried disabling the wireless, renabling, release/renew of IP, Power cycling modem/computer, reinstalling drivers. I get a message that I can't connect with the Intel PROSet/Wireless utility, and when I use Windows to manage my wireless networks, I get a message that the network is not working.
When I check on my gateways setup page it shows all of my other computers connected wirelessly and my Laptop inactive, Currently my Laptop is connected through Ethernet but I'd prefer wireless.
Please help?

Sometimes when we try to use the Pro2200 we get the message…..Another application is controlling the wireless adapter.
The fix I found is to right click the IntelPro Icon on the right side of the taskbar and select USE MICROSOFT CLIENT, then right click the Icon again and select USE INTEL PRO. This toggles it off then back on.
If the Intel Pro Icon disappears from the task tray, Open Intel Proset on Start-Programs.
Select Tools at the top.
Select Application Setting (first one).
