Latitude CPx Laptop and Latitude C/Dock 2 Network/Ethernet Problem

Hi This is my first post and in all probability will not be my last.

 

I have a slight issue in that when my CPx is docked I cannot seem to connect to the LAN via the ethernet port on the docking station. I can only connect via the Xircom Cardbus Ethernet PCMCIA 10/100 card. I have tried removing the Xircom card, but to no avail as the LAN network does not even show up on the taskbar.

 

When I go to the device manager there are no Ethernet Adaptors (as per the manual) only the PCMCIA Adaptor which does not reflect the 3Com adaptor (that I was under the impression was the default installed Ethernet Hardware on the DS), only 2 "Texas Instruments PCI-1225 Cardbus Controller" adaptors installed (which I find strange as there is only 1 Ethernet port on the DS).

 

I even downloaded the 3Com drivers and installed it, yet am still not able to connect to the LAN.

 

Can Anybody help with regards this problem?
