Latitude D510 - Broadcom 4400 Ghost Boot Disk

I'm having difficulty making a DOS boot disk for this system ... any ideas where I can get a (working) set of NDIS drivers? Broadcom's website version isn't working.

Thanks.

I'm having the same issue. I tryed the Dell download, the B57.dos driver, the latest from Broadcom.

I tryed Altiris and Ghost.

Can a Dell support rep reply to this? We know you are using some DOS driver to image it.

Thanks,

Don't have a "network.ini" file but there is "protocol.ini" and "system.ini"

----------- protocol.ini -----------

[network.setup]
version=0x3110
netcard=b44,1,b44,1
transport=tcpip,TCPIP
lana0=b44,1,tcpip

[b44]
DRIVERNAME=b44$

[protman]
drivername=PROTMAN$
PRIORITY=MS$NDISHLP

[tcpip]
BINDINGS=b44
NBSessions=6
SubNetMask0=255 255 255 0
DisableDHCP=0
DriverName=TCPIP$
LANABASE=0

----------- system.ini ------------

[network drivers]
netcard=b44.dos
transport=tcpdrv.dos,nemm.dos
devdir=A:\NET
LoadRMDrivers=yes

[Password Lists]
*Shares=A:\net\Share000.PWL

Can you copy & paste your protocol.ini and network.ini files for me? I've used that NDIS and Ghost 8's boot disk creator and still not getting the 4401 to work.

Thanks

System.ini was what I wanted ... been stringing cable all day (FINALLY replacing our wonderful Thicknet with Fiber-fed UTP ... I think BlackBox is going to go out of business now that I'm no longer buying Ethernet Tranceivers and Vampire Taps!

I've just purchased 3 D510's.  I seems the Broadcom 440 does not support PXE.  I need this so I can deploy image up or down using Altiris.  Does anyone know of a workaround?

had this same issue with 16 new latitude d510's that i need to image.  after a day and a half solid, i finally found the solution.  you have to use an old driver which wasn't exactly easy to find.  go to opendrivers.com to get the broadcom 440x dos/ndis driver and make sure you get version 3.04 (the latest driver 3.07 is the one that doesn't work).  this worked fine for my symantec ghost 8.
